Q10. Am I eligible for any exemptions?

If you have studied a subject to a similar or higher academic level you may apply for an exemption from one or more modules of your chosen course. You have to apply for these exemptions when you apply for the course.

The duration of study per week varies by course, please check individual course details to find out the time you need to commit.

Q12. Are there compulsory assignments or exams?

All courses are assessed using assignments and exams. There are instances where assessment is 30% coursework & 70% examination, 100% coursework and there are 100% examinations. Therefore, each course assessment may differ.

Q13. Who is responsible for setting and marking the exams?

Examinations are set and marked by Heriot-Watt University.

There are a number of exam venues located worldwide and you are able to find the most convenient location
